Denis Shiryaev is a Russian Youtuber who has been able to use neural networks to upscale a clip made in 1896 to 4k resolution and 60fps. Denis did this quite extraordinary task with the help of neural networks and this show how powerful neural networks can be when used together.

How did he do it?

Denis used a combination of two different algorithms called the Gigapixel AI and Dain.

The Gigapixel AI by Topaz Labs is used for upscaling the video whereas Dain is used to add fps through depth-aware video frame interpolations.
